Strawberry Sorbet (Sana 707 / 727 / 929 Horizontal Juicers)
A naturally sweet, single-ingredient sorbet made in minutes with your Sana horizontal juicer using the
blank (homogenizing) screen—no added sugar, dairy, or stabilisers.
This simple frozen dessert showcases the food-processing versatility of Sana’s horizontal juicers — the
Sana 707, 727, and 929.
Ingredients
- 500–600 g ripe strawberries, hulled
- (Optional) Squeeze of fresh lemon or a few mint leaves for serving
Make Ahead
- Slice: Cut strawberries into thick slices (about 1–1.5 cm).
- Freeze: Spread in a single layer on a lined tray and freeze until solid (2–4 hours or overnight).
When Ready to Serve
- Thaw briefly: Remove frozen strawberries and let them soften for 10–15 minutes at room temperature. They should be icy but not rock-hard for a smooth texture.
- Fit the blank screen: Install the blank/homogenizing screen supplied with your Sana juicer.
- Process: Feed the thawed strawberry slices through the juicer at a steady pace. The outlet will extrude a smooth, frozen dessert / nice cream / sorbet directly into your bowl.
- Serve: Enjoy immediately, or chill for 10–20 minutes to firm up if you prefer a harder scoop.
Premium Variations
- Silkier texture: Add ¼ ripe banana (sliced and frozen) for natural creaminess.
- Bright finish: A touch of lemon zest or a few torn mint leaves for freshness.
- Elegant plating: Serve in chilled bowls and garnish with fresh strawberry slices.
Tips
- Use fully ripe strawberries for the best flavour and colour.
- Work in small batches—partially thawed fruit protects the auger and yields a creamier result.
- For quick clean-up, run a few pieces of thawed fruit or a splash of water through at the end, then rinse parts.
